Tsingy de BemarahaThis site is classified as a UNESCO World Heritage in 1990., The Tsingy of Bemaraha are part of the national park in Madagascar operated by MNP

The Tsingy, are as true cathedrals of limestone, composed of a dense network of faults, cracks, surfaces of limestone blocks carved blades or sharp needles.

Limestone rocks formed by deposition of fossil shells and dead under the sea 200 million years ago, and subsequently shaped by the water of rains there are 5 million years, provide the Tsingy of a landscape The most spectacular of the Big Island.

300 years ago, the Tsingy have provided shelter for "vazimba", the first inhabitants of Madagascar. And, now they become a place of worship and ceremony -  tromba and tomb - for the people.
The vegetation is characteristic of limestone karst areas of Madagascar western, with dense dry deciduous, and vast anthropogenic savannas.

The fauna of the region has not been studied in detail. The Tsingy is the only place known for chameleon, and the site of the only western dry forest known for Madagascar gray-groove track (previously known only from northwestern and eastern Madagascar). The reserve is also the only protected area where the rodent endemic nesomyine is known to occur. Other notable species include northern goshawk, which may be threatened, and the lemur, which are all (or maybe) threatened.
