The reserve of Kirindy is a dry forest. managed by a Swiss scientist it’s a national training center in the forest.

To go to the reserve of Kirindy is located 65 km north of Morondava, you can have a choice to find a guide to Morondava or not to spoil the trip you should contact a legal guide association in Morondava: The association contact: aemen2011@gmail.com

Through the dry forest. Birds are found: Coua (Cristed Coua  and Giant couas ), Paradise flycatcher and other (small) - white lemurs, brown lemurs.
There are young rosewood (pallissandre); It is the tree that was used by the Sakalava to their tombs.
 
 In Marafondilia, the villagers have a stand to sell their products: wax, honey, statues, rosewood and ebony. On the track it’s possible to cross the bus taxis bursting at the seams and zebu carts.
